May 20th, 2009 - a day-raid from the UK to Florennes AB in Belgium, near Charleroi. The occasion was the spotters' day for TLP09-3 - the last NATO Tactical Leadership Programme course to be held at Florennes prior to it's move to Albacete, Spain. Access was OK on-base, but we were really too far away from the runway to get good shots on a 300mm lens. The heat-haze was terrible too, so we decamped outside the base to catch the arrivals from the mission launch. Much better pics resulted. Nice BBQ lunch on camp though, and well worth the 25 Euro admission charge.
